Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about bringing the Nootka sauna experience home.
What are the electrical requirements for your outdoor saunas?
Most of our traditional electric saunas require a dedicated 240V circuit and a 30-50 amp breaker, depending on the heater size. We recommend consulting a licensed electrician for a professional installation.
How long does shipping take and how is the sauna delivered?
Standard shipping typically takes 2-4 weeks. Your sauna will arrive via LTL freight in a protective crate. The delivery driver will use a lift-gate to place the crate on your driveway or curbside.
Do Nootka saunas come with a warranty?
Yes, all our saunas include a 3-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects on the wood structure and a separate manufacturer warranty for the heating units.
Can I install the sauna myself or do I need a contractor?
Our saunas are designed as DIY kits with precision-cut interlocking panels. Two adults can typically assemble a sauna in 4-6 hours using basic hand tools and the provided manual.
What type of wood do you use in your construction?
We primarily use sustainably sourced Grade-A Canadian Western Red Cedar or Nordic Spruce, chosen for their natural resistance to rot, decay, and heat-warping.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window for unopened and unused sauna kits in their original packaging. Please note that return shipping costs and a restocking fee may apply.
